Friday, January 15

Thursday, January 14

yup

6" not 8"

welllll

140 stitches & 8"
Guess I needed 120 st & 6"

Will look for 2 skeins sport weight sock yarn later

DONE!!!

Looks pointy .. Size large .. Too big for me .. bummerrrr

I LIKE IT!!!

Looks better .. Using 2 circs .. Bbrain to tired to figure out magic loop .. NEED food .. Put the knitting down & back away from the chair

You KNOW I couldn't put it down

Once I got on the right track .. I was obsessed with knitting .. Will have to find dps or a 2nd circ soon .. LOVE LOVE LOVE this hat

Frogged to the perfect point

Gonna work 1 round & do housework .. Don't need to stir up the knitting again

oopzz

Lokkin at the crown .. THINK I should have decreased EVERY row .. Not every other .. Will frog later .. Gonna clean up the lliving room some .. Put yarn I am not using (finished) into the yarn room

5 down

Its ccccold in the house - drinkin COLD OJ .. Gonna make some HOT tea & add a few decreases on the hat

5 dc done

On track .. Will finish tomoro .. Can't believe how tired I am

Wednesday, January 13

FINALLY!!!

Almost ready to decrease .. After the bulkier berets .. This hat is taking 4EVER!!
I m sure its the 3&2 rib .. Mite do something else before the Marsan hat .. A 1x1 twisted rib will make me ccccrazy .. Coughin stuff up .. Its a good sign

DONE 4tonite

Attached 2nd skein .. Will work the rest of the repeat before crown ..
Leftover yarn will become a Marsan Watchcap

THIS time i am really headin' to bed - it's 1 am

Tuesday, January 12

PERFECT!!!

There won't be too much wasted yarn .. The next skein starts at the right color & is in sequence .. Headin to bed to hopefully ... sleep

Turned up

The pattern allows for a turned up cuff .. Will have to decide IF I like it turned up

Nott quite a skein

Figure 1 skein is 3 repeats .. GOTTA match this one .. So, will use 1 & maybe 1/2 skeins ...

we're having a HEAT wave

it's officially FREEZING outside - WHOOOO-HHOOOOOO!!!!!

Its addictive

LOVE how the 2 sides look so different

I wanna keep knitting .. Got chores to do

figured each repeat is 2" will need 4 repeats to get to the crown - at 3.5" now
it's FUN!!

Kinda like it

Don't like it for sox .. But as Jacques Cousteau hat .. Kinda kute

Its a SHAME

No clue what toe this is but I did an EXCELLENT job .. Need to keep pattern or notes & needles with UFOs

hmmm

Ever bought yarn & not happy with it as the intended project .. NOT gonna be sox ... Try it as a hat

here are the HOLES after i washed it PER their instructions
COLD water - gentle cycle - in a lingerie bag - with a wool wash
IRREPAIRABLE!!

the ONLY time it was on a hanger was to take pic

you CAN see that the top grew about 7" in length

TOTAL time wasted = 1 MONTH

total $$ wasted ~ $56

SWTC is not aware that ANY knitters are having problem
with BAMBOO = 100% Bamboo

from what i have heard ALL Bamboo stretches

so, it's NOT worth the hassel to deal with SWTC about
the incredible STRETCHING top

i will eat the cost of the top
and the time it took to knit it

i will however NOT be buying
4 skeins of Bamboo to make the cami from "One Row Below"
nor will i be buying the PURE & knitting the top i wanted
nor will i be buying a-Maizing to make a vest AND cami
nor will i be buying Phoenix OR Oasis to make a cami

in fact - i won't be buying ANY yarn from SWTC
the Entrelac Cami from TOFUtsies may become a permanent UFO
because i am not happy with the company

gonna give away the rest of their yarns
not wasting my time knitting with them

Friday, June 12

SWTC yarn

CCCCCCCCCCRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPP!!

i washed the SWTC Bamboo sweater in a lingerie bag

- now it has holes in it -

there was NOT a knot where it broke

the yarn must have been weak

- my advice - do NOT use this yarn -

the sweater grew like 5 sizes & i was trying to shrink it back so I could wear it

wish i had gotten a pick of it all stretched out

NO MORE SWTC yarn for me

Sunday, May 17

DOMINOS

WTF!!!
i ordered pizza from Dominos
they couldn't deliver for OVER an hour
they STILL charged my card for the pizza
will they reimburse me - give them 10 days
i DON'T THINK SO!!

fixin' mistakes

FIXED it
just a matter of thinkin' BEFORE i try
looks like Janet's cat got ahold of it
but thinkin' it will look better as i get a few more rounds
SUCCESS - took longer to take pix & write about it than to FIX
CRAP - still made a mistake -> did 2 K2tog YO, instead of YO, SSK ARGH!!!!!

now to FIX it - drop back 2 st & convert to K2Tog, YO .
slip the next one - drop next 2 stitches & convert to YO, SSK

tink it back so i can fix it

POOP!! forgot the pattern row

Saturday, May 16

last row of ribbing - third time is a charm

wellllll

let me preface by saying i do NOT watch TV often
i have seen American Idol a total of TWO times
once in Fort Wayne, w/ Lisa - Clay & Rueben were on
the other time i watched Idol was with Daniel
Carrie Underwood & Randy Travis were on

when people complain about having to sit in the back row
i tell them THEY have to entertain ME
it's a joke

anyways - we were going DCA - LGA
Mr Jackson was escorted onto the plane
the only OPEN row was row 20
he sat down & i told him he had to entertain me
he said he could sing & dance
i told him he could ONLY dance if the seat belt sign was OFF
and there was NO dancing in the aisles allowed
he laughed
i went up front & Juana told me it was Randy Jackson
from American Idol

DUH!!!!
did i feel like a dunce
