Progress

got up at 4 AM

got out the Clover Needlefelting kit

used red felt for Joey's name & the year 2006

used cocoa felt for the arms

i SHOULD have bought the small brush

the large one doesn't fit into the stocking far enuff

cut the sponge from

the other kit

NOTE TO SELF

next time

use sharper scissors to cut

use a stencil to make letters and numbers

after i finished Joey's

i did Miles

then i did Paige's

still haven't gotten the hat knit

so i will have to knit it while i am gone

BUMMER

won't get to mail it on time

FINALLY

went to do Gracie's

since Brayden & Jameson have lots of letters

in their names

the felt won't work

Gracie's needs to match

so i dug out the needle PUNCH kit by clover

the stocking is too dense to use it on

PLAN "D"

found some Lopi Bulky to use for the names

also will use it for the arms

still need to knit the hat & finish the

scarf for Gracie

so,

hers won't be finished till probably later today or sat

what would be nice is that parents use LESS letters in a child's name

ALL in ALL

not bad for the FIRST attempt at needlefelting

i can NOT get the snowchildren to stay on IF i needlefelt

they HAVE to be sewn on

so the hair was STRIPED!!
i didn't know how bad it looked
so, yesterday, i went to wal*mart for something
the salon wasn't busy
i asked IF she could "FIX" the hair
first she used UnColor
then Color Eliminator
then added an Ash Brown to tone it
there are still faint traces of the stripes
the color is a little lighter than i wanted but i can LIVE with it
so,
anyways ..
i went to the Post Office to mail my Bottle Swap
a guy in line ahead of me kept chatting to me
i was wearing a Bob & Tom sweatshirt
he told me Bob & Tom are gonna sponsor a BUSH CAR next year
i kinda blew it off as a "FRIENDLY" person
today
it is B-U-T-FUL in Indy
Rose & i went for a walk
i have fleece pj bottoms, a hooded COLTS sweatshirt on
we went to wal*mart
some guy comes up and askes

"How are our boys gonna do?"
HUH??
the COLTS .. how are they gonna do""
so we chatted for a bit
then
i went to put stuff from the cart into the car
a HOTTIE comes out and asks
"Isn't this a Beutiful Day"
"I am thinking of calling in sick for the rest of the day"
then we chatted abut the Exceptional weather
FINALLY
Rose & I go to Long John Silvers for lunch
another guy in a COLTS hat started chatting to me
Rose wondered what was up
she has NEVER seen people (guys) come up

& start conversations
with me

i too am amazed

for the names

cut out the letters of each name & needlefelt them on

now to figure out the color i need for EACH stock

gotta finish them before i go to bed

will mail them on Fri before i Fly

this is the hair when it was fixed

no red stripes

what i DIDN'T know

there are TWO BIG RED stripes

down the back of my head

there are TWO BIG RED stripes on

both sides of my head

the hair on top keeps fading to yellowy orange

it HAS to be fixed

cost $50 to fix it

didn't get alot done today

DONE!!

HATE the upgraded Blogger

it was supposed to be brown NOT red

the scalp wasn't supposed to dye

they tried overdyeing

lightening - it got DARKER

then they used color eliminator

don't know how many trips under the dryer

how many times the hair was washed

after the red came out

they had to add some color BACK in

like i said

didn't get a lot done today

gotta do laundry PERPETUALLY
need to thaw the salmon & chicken so i can cook it tomoro
gotta fix the thumb nails & rt pointer

went to Stitches & Scones

bought Merino roving

will use it & Needlefelt the names on the stockings

looked @ Corrydale but didn't have enuff of the same color

have yarn to knit & felt crowns for the girls

have yarn to knit & felt mittens to match

think i have some mohair that will work for the scarves

bought some sock yarn that i HOPE will work for ALL of the boys

now i just gotta knit 4 hats, scarves & 8 mittens

getting offline to HOPEFULLY finish the stockings goin' to Peru

want to mail them tomoro

IF i can Needlefelt ALL the names

i can work on the rest of the hats, scarves & mittens

i am SICK of eating out

not healthy

EXPENSIVE

i am considering buying a freezer

i could cook when i am home

and freeze it

when i get ready to go

that sucks the air out of plastic

to vacuum seal the food

it would take up LESS space in the lunchbox

was told by another FA

that she does that & heats the food

up in the coffee carafe in the room

SOMEONE let Murphy on the plane
i was ready to jump off before we got halfway thru the flight
poured HOT coffee down my arm & leg
no burn mark today
somehow, MY galley got covered
hope i got it ALL cleaned up
trash refused to go INTO the bin
then, i trashed Lacey's galley
Lacey thru cans ( EMPTY thank goodness) at passengers

we changed our names to OOOOPPZ!! & Dropsy

she is a BLAST to work with
the pilots were a SCREME!!!!!!
both have a wicked sence of humor
all in all
i had fun & didn't knit as much as i anticipated i would
ate too much

HAT!!!

So, I found the pattern
Started knitting using 84 stitches and #9 needles

Its 11:15 pm in fort myers fl and 75 degrees

Gotta get up at 4:45 am to fly at 7
Calling it a night

Oh yeah

Get 3 hours airport appreciation time tomoro
Which is about 2 hours to knit

LOVE this yarn
Not sure of fiber content

Penny LOVES the scarf, so she should love the hat

found the patterns for the PINK SPORTWEIGHT

hat, headband, scarf & gloves

i will have to readjust the numbers

but the patterns will give me the basics

so, when i adjust them to work with the yarn (worsted)

i will write down WHAT i do

then,

Edyta was fun to work with

the FO landed so smoothly several times

that passengers didn't know we had made contact with the ground

the Cpt is fun to fly with too

spent all three nights in Minnieapolis in the same hotel room

get to go back Fri the 15th with a different crew

flown with all 3 of them

only bad part about the weekend was the sinuses & allergies kicked up

i dont sleep well

allergy/sinuses are kicking up

i forgot the dr os off on friday

i SHOULD have gone in yesterday

it's REALLY WINDY outside

as the midwest prepares for the snow

gotta run errands, pay bills, pick up yarn @ the Post Office

gonna visit a clinic to get meds for the crap

left ear has water trapped behind the ear drum

because the pressure changes
