IMPORTANT NEWS FROM THE NORTH POLE!

IMPORTANT NEWS FROM THE NORTH POLE!
A Note from: Santa Claus
I regret to inform you that, effective immediately, I will no longer serve the States of Georgia, Florida, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Texas, and Arkansas on Christmas Eve. Due to the overwhelming current population of the earth, my contract was renegotiated by North American Fairies and Elves Local 209. As part of the new and better contract I also get longer breaks for milk and cookies sokeep that in mind. However, I'm certain that your children will be in good hands with your local replacement, who happens to be my third cousin, Bubba Claus. His side of the family is from the South Pole. He shares my goal of delivering toys to all the good boys and girls; however, there are a few differences between us.
Differences such as:
1. There is no danger of the Grinch stealing your presents from Bubba Claus. He has a gun rack on his sleigh and a bumper sticker that reads: "These toys insured by Smith and Wesson."
2. Instead of milk and cookies, Bubba Claus prefers that children leave RC cola and pork rinds [or a moon pie] on the fireplace. And Bubba doesn't smoke a pipe. He dips a little snuff though, so please have an empty spit can handy.
3. Bubba Claus' sleigh is pulled by floppy-eared, flyin' coon dogs instead of reindeer. I made the mistake of loaning him a couple of my reindeer one time, and Blitzen's head now overlooks Bubba's freplace.
4. You won't hear "On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen.." when Bubba Claus arrives. Instead, you'll hear, "On Earnhardt, on Andretti, on Elliott and Petty."
5. "Ho, Ho, Ho!" has been replaced by "Yee Haw!" And you also are likely to hear Bubba's elves respond, "I her'd dat!"
6. As required by Southern highway laws, Bubba Claus' sleigh does have a Yosemite Sam safety triangle on the back with the words "Back Off."
7. The usual Christmas movie classics such as "Miracle on 34th Street" and "It's a Wonderful Life" will not be shown in your negotiated viewing area. Instead, you'll see "Boss Hogg Saves Christmas" and "Smokey and the Bandit IV" featuring Burt Reynolds as Bubba Claus and dozens of state patrol cars crashing into each other.
And Finally,
8. Bubba Claus doesn't wear a belt. If I were you, I'd make sure you, the wife, and the kids turn the other way when he bends over to putpresents under the tree. Sincerely Yours, Santa Claus

Harvest Sock DONE!!!!!

so, yesterday
the weather was BAD
flight to White Plains was cancelled
spent Wed nite in Atlanta
:(
it was 6? degrees out
when we left
had to passenger to White Plains
so, while i was waiting for the plane
to arrive to take me to White Plains
i took out the knitting
3 Gate Agents told me they want a pair of sox
several passengers ( i don't KNOW) want a pair of sox
anyways, like i said
i got to be a passenger
so we could fly (work) the flight back
got to see YOLANDA!!!!!!
:)
i really miss not seeing her more
than to say hi & bye
ANYWAYS!!!!!
yeah, SHE wants a pair of sox too
she wears size 10 shoes
when i asked her what size
another passenger told us about the measuring the arm
trick that Julia Roberts used in "Pretty Woman"
anyways, on the flight
i got to knit
the woman that sat next to me was excited that
i was knitting and she could watch
Yolanda was braggin on me
telling the woman about how great a knitter
i am and the KEWL things i have made
EXCEPT
i haven't made HER a pair of sox
so, like i said,
i finished the Harvest Sock for the partner
so, i showed the finished sock to Yolanda
she took it
she played show & tell
showed half a dozen other passengers
what i can do
Yolanda got off the plane in White Plains
we came back to Atlanta
temp dropped to around 50
i started the scarf for ISE 5
the Gate Agents & Customer Service Reps
brought in food and asked us to join them
i ate too much
knit some more on the scarf
it's FUZZY

SWAPS

finally found the post office
mailed the Bag for the Fall Felted Bag Exchange
and both the Oct & Nov package for SP11

since i moved,
some of the little things that were gonna go
into the packages were misplaced
found em last nite when i was goin' thru bins
so, NOW more stuff is on the way to the "NEW" homes

working on the sock for the Harvest Sock Exchange
should be able to finish it while i am gone this weekend

then i gotta decide on the scarf

work

so last trip was mostly fun
the bag has a broken zipper ( 1 month after gettting it)
the handle broke & about the same time
it's kinda fixed
well ....
the bearings are going in one of the wheels
AND the wheel is cracked
so, i have to buy a temp bag
and send this one in to be fixed
it's 2 1/2 years old
last leg of the trip
caught my hand in the door mechanism
guess WHICH 3 fingers got caught
the longest finger on the right hand
bruised the fingertip
bruised the nail
broke the acrylic on the nail AND the nail underneath
i forgot how much i used that finger
last nite
i wound the yarn for the Harvest Sox
started it
didn't like it
FROGGED
about 1/2 way down the leg
got things to do
like PACK
