almost ready to go to work

so, i adjusted the roots
i keep trying browns,

but the hair doesn't comply
it went red again
not LUCY red, but still red

the nails have finally grown out
had the tech NOT put white tips
i wouldn't HAVE to wear polish
but, i still have to polish my nails tonite
the red was showing signs of wear at both ends

i AM packed .. well almost
yeah i know
it's NOT 10 PM yet
i am only gone for 1 nite
get to DC tomoro about 3 PM
so, it's doubdtful that i will finish the heel
do a turn
pick-up & decrease my gussets
AND knit the foot & toe
all before i fly again on Sat at 6 AM
however, i am inclined to take a 2nd project with me
JUST in case mother nature interferes with flight plans
i COULD get stuck somewhere

off to polish the nails and get SOME sleep
gotta get up at 3 am
then i pack the cooler
maybe I'll be able to do something with the hair in
the morning

Cathy likes to

I was reading Penny's blog and found this. You can do it also. You go to Google and type in "Cathy likes to" (but you use your own name and include the quotation marks) and you paste 10 things that show up. Here is what I found:

1) Cathy likes to participate in any project, so long as she gets to talk.

2) Cathy likes to wear blue jeans

3) Cathy likes to spend time outdoors

4) Cathy likes to joke

5) Cathy likes to take on projects and see them through to the end

6) Cathy likes to keep things light, simple, direct, and get the job done, and believes everything is fixable

7) In her free time, Cathy likes to read, do needlework, collect Disney memorabilia, play racquetball and tennis

8) Cathy likes to focus on gentle motivation and encouragement towards fitness goals.

9) Cathy likes to find places a little off the beaten path

10) Cathy likes to keep a low profile

so, today is TUES

Nancy has bronchitis & sounds horrible
i feel for her

i called her about the yarn for the Oct STOCK
for Whenever ... again

we got that resolved
she will be mailing yarn

i know what i WANT them to look like
so it's off to the frog pond i go with them
but i know how to FIX them so i will be happy with them
i will work on the Nov sox for Whenever ... Again
and in my head, i see a felted bag
wondering what the partner for Fall Felted Bag wants
off to do laundry
work on the pattern for the New Yarns Stock
then knit

Ravelry Progress

NEW knittin' bags

so in the mail today
i got TWO knitting bags
i picked this one for ME
this one is for Deb

and NO!!
Nancy doesn't have a pic of them
on HER blog

i DON'T beleive it

so, i am using the new
as in less than 12 hours old
Susan Bates circ
the same thing happened
the blasted cable, disconnected from the needle
so, i am hopin' that Nancy has size 17
i really would love an addi with a normal cable
or a Clover Bamboo
i wonder IF i can superglue the cable into the needle
i would LOVE to finish the bag
i could design another pair of sox
i have cotton yarn
i have Regia Bamboo
i could knit sox
i WANT to finish the bag
guess the Knitting Gods don't want me
to work on the bag
i need a 17
no one carries one that size

LOVE the Susan Bates needle

it's so easy to knit with
the yarn glides
i am making a purse
got an idea in my head
kinda morphing several ideas into one
sure HOPE it works
don't ask what the yarn is
i forget
what is that ???

another Bag Exchange to join

i LOVE Atlanta

got this from Deb

Atlanta is composed mostly of one-way streets.
The only way to get out of downtown Atlanta is to turn around and start over
when you reach Greenville , South Carolina.
All directions start with, "Go down Peachtree" and include the phrase,
"When you see the Waffle House."
Except that in Cobb County, where all directions begin with,
"Go to the Big Chicken."
Peachtree Street has no beginning and no end and is not to be confused with:
Peachtree Circle
Peachtree Place
Peachtree Lane
Peachtree Road
Peachtree Parkway
Peachtree Run
Peachtree Terrace
Peachtree Avenue
Peachtree Commons
Peachtree Battle
Peachtree Corners
New Peachtree
Old Peachtree
West Peachtree
Peachtree Industrial Boulevard
Atlantans only know their way to work and their way home.
If you ask anyone for directions, they will always send you down
Atlanta is the home of Coca-Cola.
Coke's all they drink there so don't ask for any other soft drink unless
it's made by Coca-Cola.
Even if you want something other than a Coca-Cola,
it's still called Coke.
The gates at Atlanta 's Hartsfield International Airport are about
32 miles away from the Main Concourse,
so wear sneakers and pack a lunch.
The 8 am rush hour is from 6:30 to 10:30 AM.
The 5 pm rush hour is from 3:00 to 7:30 PM.
Friday's rush hour Thursday afternoon and lasts through 2 am Saturday.
Only a native of Atlanta can pronounce Ponce De Leon Avenue,
so do not attempt the Spanish pronunciation.
People will simply tilt their heads to the right and stare at you.
The Atlanta pronunciation is "pawntz duh LEE-awn."
And yes, they have a street named simply, "Boulevard."
The falling of one raindrop causes all drivers to immediately forget all traffic rules.
If a single snowflake falls, the city is paralyzed for three days and it's on all
the channels as a news flash every 15 minutes for a week.
Overnight, all grocery stores will be sold out of milk, bread, bottled water, toilet paper,
and beer.
I-285, the loop that encircles Atlanta, which has a posted speed limit of 55 mph
(but you have to maintain 80 mph just to keep from getting run over),
is known to truckers as "The Watermelon 500."
Don't believe the directional markers on highways:
I-285 is marked "East" and "West" but you may be going North or South.
The locals identify the direction by referring to the "Inner Loop " and the "Outer Loop."
If you travel on Hwy 92 North, you will actually be going southeast.
Never buy a ladder or mattress in Atlanta .
Just go to one of the interstates and you will soon find one in the middle of the road.
The last thing you want to do is give another driver the finger,
unless your car is armored, your trigger finger is itchy and your AK-47
has a full clip.
Possums sleep in the middle of the road with their feet in the air.
There are 5,000 types of snakes and 4,998 live in Georgia .
There are 10,000 types of spiders.
All 10,000 live in Georgia.
If it grows, it sticks. If it crawls, it bites.
If you notice a vine trying to wrap itself around your leg,
you have about 20 seconds to escape, before you are completely captured and
covered with Kudzu,
another ill-advised "import," like the carp, starling, English sparrow, and other
''exotic wonders."
It's not a shopping cart, it's a buggy.
"Fixinto" is one word (I'm fixinto go to the store).
Sweet Tea is appropriate for all meals and you start drinking it when you're 2 years old.
"Jeet?" is actually a phrase meaning "Did you eat?""
Momma-nem" means: How's Mother and all of the other children and other
members of the family doing.
Lordy, I love ATLANTA !

TINK them
then re-knit
or find someone with a 10" foot
i REALLY like the sox

some i have recently used
pattern available Dec 1 on New Yarns
