i escaped the hotel
went into the French Quarter
on Fri
i overnited in New Orleans
for the 8th or 9th time
HOWEVER
this time
i escaped from the hotel and had a BLAST
sorry the pix aren't so good from the cell phone
gotta buy another camera since the old room mate stole mine
i got to go to the Quarter Stitch
bought something for my Bottle Swap Partner
bought postcards for my munchkins
will mail them tomoro (forgot stamps)
bought a Mardi Gras Duck for ME
went to Pat O'Brien's had a Hurricane
the FO & FA gave me a hard time 'cause it took FOREVER to drink it
got the glass above the stove
had a BLAST !!!!!
hopefully i will get to go back again
it's about $30 one way in a cab
but WELL worth the $$ to escape the hotel
had crawfish etoulee & benets
didn't get MUCH knitting done since i wasn's sitting in the hotel room
worked on Bjork a bit but it's BORING knitting in a circle
so i started a shawl & watched CSI Miami
